On Wednesday 2nd September the band also added a second night at Slane Castle, Ireland on 27th June. This follows the previously announced 26th June show that will see the band become only the third ever Irish act to headline the legendary venue (after U2 and Thin Lizzy). Tickets for both shows are available now.
Fontaines D.C. – Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll – will release their fifth album Dopamine Chamber on 16th October via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, it’s the follow-up to 2024’s UK platinum-certified Romance – and the sound of a band moving decisively away from the guitar language of their early records and into their most seductive music yet. Preceded by lead single “Marianne”, the album arrives like a constellation behind undulating sighs of smog: potent balladry, anthemic melodies glinting through the murk. In a world tipping towards collapse, it asks how pleasure mutates amid peril—and what our pursuit of it reveals about us. “The album itself is a dopamine chamber,” says Chatten. “You step inside and we test these different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music on you.”
Fontaines D.C. have spent five albums refusing to repeat themselves – from Dogrel (2019) through A Hero’s Death (2020), the UK and Irish No. 1 Skinty Fia (2022) and the anarchic, kaleidoscopic Romance (2024). Dopamine Chamber is their most radical turn yet. It was made with Ford between London, the English countryside and Palermo, where Chatten recorded vocals in a makeshift booth built from mattresses and cushions. “There’s a poignant sense of us being on the brink of some other kind of form of humanity, or non-humanity,” says Chatten. For their fifth album, Fontaines D.C. have built the chamber. What happens to
the listener inside it will be the experiment.
“Marianne” is out now. Dopamine Chamber is released on 16th October via XL Recordings and
available on LP, deluxe LP, CD, cassette and digital. Pre-order here.
The legendary Pulp will headline Live From Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on Friday, 28
th August 2026, joined by very special guest Self Esteem.
Following their acclaimed reunion shows and the release of their long-awaited new album More
– the band’s first in 24 years – Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks, Mark Webber, and
their collaborators will bring their celebrated live show to Manchester for what promises to be an
unforgettable night.
The Wythenshawe Park performance will be one of very few opportunities for fans to see Pulp
perform live in 2026, and the only chance to see them outdoors in the North of England next
year. This announcement also marks the final artist revealed for the Live From Wythenshawe
Park series in 2026.
Pulp’s remarkable story continues to resonate across generations. Since their formation in
Sheffield in the late 1970s, the band have created some of British music’s most enduring
moments – from Common People and Disco 2000 to This Is Hardcore – songs that captured the
wit, romance and grit of everyday life. Their latest work, More, finds the band reflecting on time,
desire and renewal with the insight and emotional charge that have always defined their music.
Joining them at Wythenshawe Park will be Self Esteem, the critically acclaimed project of
Rebecca Lucy Taylor, whose fearless, genre-defying pop has made her one of the UK’s most
vital contemporary voices.
